Optimization of Fuel Supply Strategy for LNG Dual-fuel Ships

Abstract Fuel cost is an important part of voyage cost, and fuel replenishment strategy decision affecting the operating benefit shipping companies. A mixed integer nonlinear programming model supply for LNG dual-fuel ships established to expand research scope in industry minimize cost. In this paper, genetic algorithm improved, solving steps are designed, validity verified by example analysis. The results show that as long price does not exceed 120% LSHFO price, ship can still reduce during voyage. lower larger tank capacity higher proportion saved. When market fluctuates, provide a scientific basis companies determine type fuel, optimize speed, select port volume.
